The District's Community Day School (CDS) is an alternative educational program for district K-8 Students who are expelled from school, placed by the courts or the Student Attendance and Review Board, or students voluntarily placed by parents and schools for behavioral intervention. The CDS includes an elementary and two middle school classrooms with administrative and support services. Students use district adopted academic programs in addition to a daily social skills curriculum. Instruction is provided six hours per day by credentialed teachers and respective instructional assistants. CDS staff work closely with the parents, district staff, and collaborate with the County Office of Education, Probation, Mental Health, Law Enforcement and other agencies to provide the needed support for student success.
