Cafeteria doors close at 7:45 a.m. before the first bell rings.

All students who want breakfast after the first bell will be marked Tardy.

NOTE: Non employee adults are NOT allowed in the cafeteria. We also ask that adults do not hover near the doorways.

Healthy snacks may be brought from home for mid morning recess and are to be eaten by the playground benches only.  Lunch from home may be eaten at the picnic tables outside of the cafeteria. We discourage soft drinks, candy, hot chips as snacks or part of lunch as those items are not “brain food” and can result in students becoming tired or simply not at their best. We do not allow large bags of hot Cheetos/Takis (both often result in problems with sharing and messiness).  All  food items including birthday treats must be store bought and in sealed containers. This includes fruit trays. Teachers require 24 hours notice regarding birthday treats or class treats.

Preschool Only: Breakfast and Lunch are no longer available for purchase here at Givens. All Preschool students will receive a healthy snack in the classroom.
